Best Fishes!

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

One more sleep until the new catalogue launches!  If you’ve got your copy, I’ll bet you’re excited about all the luscious new products and are raring to get ordering.  I know I’ve got a wish list that’s quite extensive!

Today’s project features items that have been carried over from the 2016-17 catalogue as well as new things.  I was glad to see Jars of Love wasn’t retiring – I want to play with this set a bit longer.

Here’s what I made –

Hope you liked it.

Love Letters

Hello and welcome to my blog.

This simple little box  hides a surprise.  Open it up and see what's inside -

What do you think of the new Berry Burst In Colour card?  Doesn't it just pop when you put it with the Bermuda Bay card.

Here's how I made it -

Thank you for visiting.

Tranquil Tulips

Hello and welcome to my blog.

Sometime you need a quick and easy card. This has just a bit of stamping, some layering and a bow - and it's done.

What do you think of this stamp?  It's from the new catalogue (coming soon...)   It's one of the special host sets that you can only get if you either place an order for £150 or you host a workshop where combined orders reach that sum, because then you qualify for Stampin' Rewards, which you can use for anything in the catalogue - including the special sets.

Stampin' Up! demonstrators get to see the catalogues ahead of launch and to order some items too...I can't fault it!

Anyway, if you hop on over to my Youtube channel - there's a link over there on the right - you can see how I made it.

Before I go, I just want to let you know that I'm cutting back slightly on blogging/YouTubing for a while (not much, twice a week - Wednesday and Saturday instead of three times).  It's been a bit hectic lately and I'm feeling the strain.  Once I've had a bit of a breather I'll be step up the rate again, no doubt.

So - I'll see you again soon!

Tall hexagonal box

Hello and welcome to my blog.

I’ve said it before -  I do enjoy making boxes.

So as soon as I saw the Window Box dies in the Spring catalogue they went right to the top of my wish list.  I’m really happy that they have been carried forward into the annual catalogue (coming soon!)

For today's project, I've used the dies to make the lid of this box.

Doing it this way means that the base of my box can be as tall as I need it to be!

This is how I made it-

Don’t you just love those stickers?

That's it for today. Come back again soon why don't you?

Glitter Birthday

Hello there, and welcome to my blog.

I love sentiment dies, especially a nice big one like this.  You don't need much else to make a card and it takes minutes.  The die is one of the luscious new things in the 2017-18 catalogue.  And just LOOK at the colour of that ribbon...coming soon...or available now as part of the Eastern Palace pre-release...scrumptious!

Here's how I made it-

Are you excited about the new catalogue yet?  Not long to wait now!

See you again soon,

Beautiful Balloon

Hello there, and welcome to my blog!

I love hot air balloons.  I've never been up in one (and not sure that I really want to - I understand that landing can be a bit bumpy) but watching them gliding through the sky is an amazing experience.

So as soon as I saw the Up & Away dies they went to the top of my wish list.

Today i've made a card based on  a technique I saw Jennifer McGuire demonstrate.  I'd never have thought of using tulle in and aperture card, but it works so well!

Here's what I did -

Hope you liked it!

Elegant Gift Wallet

Happy Saturday!
I hope you’re having a good day.  Today I’m sharing a simple but elegant way of presenting a gift certificate.  I needed some way of making a rather boring envelope look like an interesting wedding present, and this is what I came up with –

To get the printed message onto the card, I used a product that’s no longer manufactured.  However, alternatives are available (see below!) so I don’t feel too bad about teasing you!

Are you excited about the new Stampin’ Up! Catalogue yet?  I just got my real-world copy (up till then I’d been making do with an online version – not the same thing at all!) and I the copies for my customers are on the way!  If you’ve shopped with me in the past year, you can expect a copy in the post soon.  If not, get in touch with your demonstrator. (If you don’t have a demonstrator and would like a copy, email me  - keren@tuppencecoloured.co.uk.  I can send you a copy as long as you’re in the UK, France, Germany, Austria or the Netherlands)

That's all for today folks!

Crafty hugs,

Keren

Eastern Medallions card

Hi everyone, welcome to my blog!

It's another project featuring the Eastern Palace suite today - so happy that Stampin' Up! have made this available ahead of the new catalogue launch, and even better, it's available as a bundle (well, two bundles) at a discount during the month of May.  (Want to know more?  See it here!) As a demonstrator, I get to buy new products before the new catalogue goes live, but my order hasn't arrived yet - so it's so good to have new stuff to play with ahead of time.

This colour combination reminds me very much of some dresses I had when I was younger. I thought Lemon Lime Twist was going to be too bright for me but it's definitely growing on me.  (I didn't think I'd be sad to say goodbye to Mint Macaron - but I am!)

Here's the tutorial.  By the way, I've been asked a few times about the table I work on - that wood surface is actually wallpaper, pasted onto a picnic table (I don't have a craft room, it all happens in my living room!).  When it gets too stained, I just tear it away and put a fresh piece on.  Anyway, back to the tutorial!
What do you think?  Do you like the colour?  Let me know!

See you again soon,

Tuxedo Card

Hello there, and welcome to my blog! Today's project is based on something I saw while I was watching Create & Craft on TV.

It's a variation on a pop-up box card, but doesn't it look amazing?

Isn't Lemon-Lime Twist beautiful fresh colour? And doesn't it look great with Dapper Denim? I'm so happy that Stampin’ Up! has released the Eastern Palace suite ahead of the main catalogue launch at the beginning of June.

Here's how I made the card -

Country Livin'

Hello bloggists, and welcome to my blog.
I don’t know why it’s taken me so long to get round to playing with the Country Livin’ stamps.  I’m so happy that this set isn’t retiring so will be around until June 2018 at least and that I’ll be able to use them in my demos for a while longer.  The images are handy to use on items for men or boys but could work equally well for more feminine greetings, depending on how you embellish it.

I'm also happy that the Hardwood stamp is going to be carrying over as well.  I love this stamp for backgrounds.

This was a nice, simple card to make.  Here's how I did it-

Thanks for visiting - hope I'll see you again soon!

Something old, something new

Hello bloggists and welcome.
Today’s project is a mixture of old and new.  On the one hand, the DSP I’ve used on this twisted gatefold card is retiring at the end of this month (but it’s so pretty that I couldn’t resist using it!).  I also couldn’t resist playing with the Botanical Builders dies one more time, before they leave us (I’ve really enjoyed using them).

The card base is thick Very Vanilla (something we’ve been asking Stampin’Up! to stock for quite some time now) and the stamps and dies are from the Eastern Palace suite, which is going to be in the new catalogue but which has been made available from 1 May.  There are two bundles available (at a discount price until the end of this month, each with a free gift).

Here's how I made it -

I know I'm going to have so much fun with this suite!  How about you?

Star Blast Gatefold Card

Hello bloggists, welcome.

Well, this blog has been AWOL for the past few days - did you miss it?

It's been a hectic few days.  To begin with, a scratch on my husband's foot got infected.  He's got no idea how he came by it, but the area around the scratch got very inflamed and we wound up spending a few hours in A & E at the local hospital.  (A good dollop of iodine and some antibiotics seem to be doing the trick!)

The next distractions were good things, but distractions nonetheless.  The first was a friend's wedding (Congratulations, Kelly and Lee!).

The second was a dance class with this lovely man -

Robin Windsor, a former Strictly Come dancing professional, gave his time to help raise funds for a young lad with special needs, and one of the venues where he gave lessons was our dance school.  I have to say that the lesson was fast paced and intense, but so much fun!  The husband's foot managed to hold up through the Cha-Cha but we had to retire from the floor when it came to the Charleston - but it was fun to watch.

Anyway, we're back on track today with this project.

Hope you enjoyed it - and with any luck, the next blog will be a bit more about crafty things.

Back again soon,

Crafty Hugs,

Keren
