Faceted gift bag

Hello, and welcome!

Today I'm sharing a project that I've CASe'd from a Dutch demo named Caroline van Straaten.  I loved this gift bag so much, it's such a pretty shape!

Caroline used the Gift Bag Punch board in her project (and you can see how she did it here).  I decided to see how it could be made without using the punch board, though.  And it wasn't too difficult (although using the punch board would have made it easier).  Here's my tutorial -

And if you'd like the measurements, well, here they are!
By the way, isn't the Painted with Love DSP simply stunning?  So pretty!

You can find a link to the supplies I used below.

Anyway, thanks for visiting and

Keep crafting!

Crafty hugs,

InspireINK - Soft Kitty

Hello and welcome to my bit of the latest InspireINK Blog Hop!

This month's theme was set by the lovely Keila, and this time we've been given a sketch to work from.

I've chosen to make a scrapbook page based on the sketch.

One of the great advantages of scrapbooking is that you get to keep what you've made (unlike greetings cards, which you mostly give to other people) so you have all the fun of crafting and you still have the beautiful paper and embellishments you used when you've finished.  I call that a win-win situation!

The picture is of Mysti, having a snooze in front of the window.  There's a hidden  spot behind the photo where I will do some journalling.

I could put this into an album, but I think I'm going to frame it - another good thing about a scrapbook page!

Anyway, I'm sure you're anxious to see what Heather has for you  - so please find her blog by clicking here!

Diagonal lid box

Hello, and welcome to my blog.

It's officially the first day of spring today, although at the time of writing you'd never  guess.  It's tuned cold again and we even had some snow over the weekend.  But Easter will soon be here and hopefully we'll get some warmer weather so let's cheer ourselves up with some bright and beautiful colours!

I cam across this box on YouTube and I was really intrigued by the unusual lid - or lids, because there are two of them.  It took me several goes to get the dimensions right so that the tray would fit inside!

Here are the diagrams.  For the lids, you need two pieces 8 x 4 1/2".  Score on the long side at 3 1/2" and 4 1/2", on the short side at 1"

The tray section is 7 3/16" square, score on each side at 15/16" and 1 7/8"

I particularly liked that this box's design means that it works well when made of paper, so I could use this DSP one last time before it retires at the end of Sale-A-Bration (last day on Saturday!)  (We'll still have the co-ordinating stamps and dies, though)

Keep Crafting,

Keren

It's magic...

Hello and welcome!   Today I've been making a magic slider card.
It starts off a bit plain and uninteresting, but pull the tab and..

It's magic!

Here it is in action.  If you don't know the secret, the effect is - well, quite magical.  The Magical Day stamps were just begging to be used to make this card, don't you think?

Here's the tutorial.

I used my Stamparatus to help me, but if you haven't got yours yet (and it will be coming in the next annual catalogue) I recommend cutting your window sheet oversized and then trimming it down once you've done the stamping.

Keep crafting!

It's in the bag!

Hello, and welcome.

Today I'm sharing a CASE'd project (CASE stands for Copy And Share Everything).  The original is by Mixed Up Crafts (go and take a look at her YouTube channel!) This sweet little box holds itself closed by tucking the flaps into slots at the sides - it's just so clever!

I did make some tweaks to the original, which was made with two pieces of 6x6.  Here's how I did it

Here are the measurements

Don't you love this paper? It's only around until the end of March as it's one of the items in Sale-A-Bration (but the good news is that you can get it for free with a qualifying purchase!  Yay!) But the end of March is approaching fast, so if you've got your eye on this DSP or any of the other lovely things in the brochure, you need to act fast!

Keep Crafting,

Keren
