Garage Gears Pillow Box

Hello, and welcome!
So we're still getting back to normal here at Tuppence Towers.  Decluttering phase 1 is more or less complete, with some items in storage still to be donated or sold.  Next step will be to re-arrange what's left!
I'm still getting used to my new, streamlined craft supply storage which is my way of saying that I can't find ANYTHING.
Time and space for crafting is still limited.  I needed something quick for today's project, so I  used some leftover bits from an earlier project and one of the ready-to-go Polka Dot pillow boxes -

 Hope you liked it!

A "Tweet" gift bag!

Hello, and welcome!

Sometimes a project just comes together as if by magic.  Everything just  works, it all looks amazing, and it's just a joy to create.

This was not one of those projects.

I made this bag three times.

Version 1 I made with Noble Peacock speciality DSP, which is gorgeous but a bit of a nightmare to film because of the flare from the foil, so I decided to re-film with a different paper.  I do love the Bird Ballad paper, so that's what I used.

This time the camera was out of focus.

Third time lucky!

Hope you enjoyed it.

Keep crafting,

It's good to be back!

Hello, and welcome!

Well, we have finally, at long last, finished our marathon destash/declutter and I can get back to doing some crafting!

Over the past few weeks just about every spare minute has been spent in taking stuff out of cupboards, piling it up, sifting through it and deciding what's being kept, what's being given away, and what is going in the bin.   If you've seen any of the "doing Konmari method" videos on YouTube you'll get the idea of how it works.

There was much, much more of it than I expected and it took a lot longer than I thought it would.  I honestly don't know how it all fitted into the place to begin with.  I still don't know how I managed to fill four big boxes with mugs, but at least I know now why there was no room in any of the kitchen cupboards - it's because they were full of mugs!

It was worth doing, though.  The electrical work that kicked it all off has been completed.  I've managed to get my craft supplies (those that survived the cull!) together so that, in theory, I can get whatever I need quickly.

I'm sure it'll work when I can remember where I put everything.

Anyway, I am now able to play again.  It's a short and sweet project today - I'm just getting myself back into the swing of things - with a couple of sneaky peekies at products that will be coming in the Autumn/Winter catalogue!

So that's all for now.  I'm hoping to get back to my regular schedule soon, but meanwhile, don't forget to follow me and turn on notifications of when I post as blogging may be a bit irregular for now!

Keep crafting,

Keren

Clockwork Heart

Hello, and welcome!

Well, the declutter/destash that's been in progress for the past few weeks (see the last couple of blog posts for details) is almost finished and I begin to have hope that I will be able to actually craft again soon, although it will be a while before I'm back to my normal routine.

It's rather frustrating, because SU demonstrators can now order from the Autumn/Winter catalogue (everyone else gets to see it next month) and there's such a lot of lovely things that I want to play with!

Anyway, today I'm sharing a project that I completed before all the chaos started.

My crafting roots are in altered art/mixed media/distress/grunge and once in a while I feel inspired to revisit them.  The inspiration for this card was a stamped image I saw somewhere.  It's technique-heavy, but I hope you like it.

So it's back to the clearing-out for me.  This was the last of the projects that I made before we started working our way through years of accumulated stuff so I may be very quiet for a while, but I will be back.

Hope I'll see you soon!

Keep crafting,
