Hello and welcome!
It’s been a few weeks since I updated this blog, and that’s
because all sorts of stuff that I didn’t want has been going on in my personal
life.
It started with my husband being referred for a CT scan and
the scan showing up a malignant tumour in his colon – incidentally, completely
unrelated to the reason why he was being scanned. This led to surgery (he was in hospital over
the festive season – not one of our better Christmases, it has to be said!) and
he will now need further therapy and another operation later on. I want to say that we consider ourselves very
lucky (although it may not seem that way), as if it weren’t for the relatively
minor issue that led to the scan, we wouldn’t have known anything about the
major issue until it was too late. As it
is, he has every prospect of making a good recovery – although we have a tough
few months ahead of us.
Anyway, crafting hasn’t been at the top of my things-to-do
for a while. Between visits to and from hospitals and medical appointments (following
surgery, my husband can’t drive for a while) and picking up some of the carer
duties for my father in law (who is 80, deaf, and blind so pretty helpless) I
haven’t had a lot of time; and with the other half, dear to me as he is, being
at home all the time, I haven’t had the space either.
The mojo is slowly returning, however, and I have plans in
place to set up a secondary crafting/filming space so I am hopeful that the
tutorials will be back soon!
Today I have been playing with the new Peaceful Poppies
DSP. Poppies are among my favourite
flowers – they’re just so RED! Here’s
what I’ve been up to –
Anyway, thanks for visiting.
I hope you’ll forgive me if I’m a bit sporadic with the old blogging/YouTube
for a while – but anyway,
Keep crafting!
Keren
Oh bless your heart! So sorry to read this about your husband! It is very difficult going through sickness for both the person sick and the family! Sure will be thinking of you all and will keep you in my prayers!
