Tall slim Winter's Night card

Hello and welcome!

For today’s project, I decided I wanted a change from the usual 5 ¾” by 4” card shape.

I always think that tall, slim cards are rather elegant, so that’s what I’ve made today.

This card uses some of the items that are in the annual catalogue and were among my favourites last year. I was very happy to play with them again this year.

I am teasing you a bit with this project, because I used the white velveteen paper that was supposed to be available to the end of this month, but it sold out super quickly! However, you could easily substitute Whisper White for the velveteen paper and the card would look just as good.

Tulle shaker card

Hello, and welcome!

I can't stop playing with the Hearts Come Home bundle. It was the first thing on my wish list when I saw the Autumn-Winter catalogue back in the summer (one of the advantages of being a SU demo is that we get to see - and buy - new products before they go on sale to everyone else. Sweet!)

Today it's a Tulle shaker card. I like this style of card because, if you're careful you can move the shaker bits (sequins in this case) through the net.

Here's how I made it -

I did promise that I'd tell you where to score if you are using 8 1/2 by 11 card, which would be at 3 7/8" and 7 3/4" (Metric - score at 10 cm and 20 cm)

Hope you have a go at this kind of card - they are fun to make!

Snowflake card

Hello and welcome!

I’m trying something a bit different today – a tutorial where I don’t talk!

Perhaps you remember the wax paper resist background card I made a few weeks ago? That technique makes two card fronts, and this card uses the second of the two that I made at the time.

Some die-cut snowflakes in vellum and glimmer paper, stamp and emboss a sentiment, add an embellishment (in the autumn/winter catalogue) and a few sequins, and the card’s done.
