Hello and thank you for visiting my blog today! The past few days the weather has been absolutely lovely - warm and sunny, not too hot - just about perfect. And it was a public holiday weekend as well so we had an extra day to enjoy it all. Wouldn't it be just amazing to be up in the clouds in a balloon on a day like that? One of my cherished memories is of watching hot air balloons in flight over the town where I was living. They were so beautiful and so silent, sailing overhead agianst a blue, blue sky. I couldn't manage a real hot air balloon but I did make this card, which reminds me of that time.
The card hides a twist and pop mechanism. This is one of my favourite action cards. Once you get the hang of it, they are easy to make.
Here's how I made this one.
I'm so happy that the dies and stamps will be carrying over to the new catalogue. They are so useful for cards for all ages and are very gender-neutral, don't you think? That's all for now, Keep crafting, Keren Product List
Hello, and welcome! Today I'm showing you a card made with the Rainbow Builders dies. These are great for using up those scraps of card that are too big to just throw away, but aren't quite right for any project you have in mind! I used mine on an Easel card. The fun thing about these cards is that you can see the inside and the outside when it's on display. Here's how I made it-
I'm going to miss these dies (although I'll still be playing with them, just not sharing what I make here) when they retire, but I'm super excited about some of the new products coming along! Oh my, it's May already and it'll soon be time to welcome the 2018-19 Annual Catalogue! One of the great things about being a SU demo is that we get to see all of the lovely things that are coming soon ahead of time, and I promise you that you are going to love, love, LOVE some of the goodies coming your way! This does mean, though, that we have to say goodbye to some of our old favourites to make room for the new. And in the same way, I'm using up my retiring DSP to make room. I like to keep gift bags ready-made so that if I need one in a hurry they're good to go - and these bags are about as large as you can make from 12 x 12 inch paper. The finished size is 8 x 8 x 4 inches, so they'll hold quite a bit. Here's the how-to-do-it video.
You could easily vary the dimensions a bit if you wanted - how about 9x9x3 or 7x7x5? Why not give it a try? Anyway, keep crafting! Keren
