Owl balloons

Hello bloggists,  and welcome to my blog.

Believe it or not, I began to work on today's project in July. Yes that's right, July! Why did it take me so long to finish it,  I hear you ask? The answer is - I'm not really sure.
I knew that I wanted to make a card with the owl, and I knew I wanted it to be a slider card. But somehow, I just took a really long time putting it altogether!I did finish it eventually, as you can see. (And believe that or not, I have another project that I started about the same time which I still haven't finished...ssh!)

Anyway, here's the video tutorial–

I hope it was worth waiting for!

Thank you for joining me and I hope that you will come back and see me again soon.

Owl at Sea

Hello bloggists, thank you for stopping by today.
I’ve been playing with the Owl Builder punch and having so much fun.  This is such a versatile punch.  With a bit of ingenuity the little owl can be made into all sorts of characters – I’ve seen ghosts, bats. Minions, penguins – a quick search on Pinterest brings up lots and lots of ideas.  Today, though, I’ve played it straight and just punched out two of them to sit in the umbrella.  I hope they aren’t subject to seasickness, because the umbrella rocks from side to side when the card is tilted.  I thought the "Weather Together" stamp & die bundle was just perfect for this card.

Here's how I made it -
I do enjoy making action cards -and I hope you do too!

Penguin Shaker Snow globe

Hello bloggists, and welcome.  Thank you for visiting!

Have you seen the Thoughtful Branches bundle yet?  It’s available for the month of August only.

One of the advantages of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the chance to get hold of new items before they go on sale to customers and I’ve had this set for a few weeks now...I’m loving it and I’ll be sharing some of the things I’ve been making with it very soon.  (Hint – join me for my next live stream on 10 August, 7.30 pm!)

If you’ve got some Bonus Days coupons waiting to be used, you might want to apply them to help cover the cost of this bundle...just sayin’!

Meanwhile, we’re now on the downhill slope towards the holiday season (Eeek!) so here’s my first winter-y card of the year – and it’s a snowglobe shaker card.

Shaker cards are always popular and the thick foam tape makes it easy to put them together I couldn’t bring myself to add a Christmas sentiment but you could, quite easily.  The penguin is made using the Owl Builder punch.  This is a really versatile bit of kit because that owl can be turned into all sorts of creatures.

Here’s the video tutorial –

I do hope you enjoyed this project - come and visit again soon!
