Cup of Coffee Treat Pouch

Hello bloggists, welcome to my blog.
I’m not much of a coffee drinker.  I do love a cup of tea, but coffee just isn’t my thing- but I have plenty of friends who run on it!

This little wallet  holds a surprising amount, and though I’ve sized it specifically to fit the coffee bag plus whitener, sugar and a bikkie, you could easily use it for something else.  After I’d finished it, I realised that it reminded me of a document wallet and if I resized it, I could use it for post-it notes(*pulls out calculator and begins writing down measurements)
 Here’s how I made it..
.
..and here are the measurements -

Last blog post before Christmas and I’ll be taking a rest on Christmas day – back next week.
Have a great festive season!

See you again soon,

Hot Chocolate

Hello bloggists, and welcome.
There's something very cute about miniatures and when I came across a number of projects like this one on Pinterest I had to have a go at making my own version.

I made it so that it's gift card holder as well as a card holder.  If you didn't want to add the gift card, you could glue the back panel to itself.  Or you could just tuck the Snowman Soup verse inside.  This is the one I like -
When the weather outside is frightful,
Snowman Soup can be delightful!
May it warm your spirit & soul,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
When you feel a chill or “burr”,
Use the candy cane to stir
Add hot water & sip it slow,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!
Here's how I made it-

Of course, you could just fill the cup with Snowman Soup (hot chocolate mix, mini marshmallows, some chocolates and a candy cane) or some sweets and not bother with the cup holder for a very quick gift.

I hope you enjoyed this project, and if so, join me again soon!

Owl balloons

Hello bloggists,  and welcome to my blog.

Believe it or not, I began to work on today's project in July. Yes that's right, July! Why did it take me so long to finish it,  I hear you ask? The answer is - I'm not really sure.
I knew that I wanted to make a card with the owl, and I knew I wanted it to be a slider card. But somehow, I just took a really long time putting it altogether!I did finish it eventually, as you can see. (And believe that or not, I have another project that I started about the same time which I still haven't finished...ssh!)

Anyway, here's the video tutorial–

I hope it was worth waiting for!

Thank you for joining me and I hope that you will come back and see me again soon.

Piano

Hello bloggists, and welcome!
Last week I shared a card that looked a bit like a guitar, which was one of the musical instruments I tried to play in my youth:  today it’s the turn of the piano or keyboard instrument.  The piano was the first musical instrument I learned to play, beginning when I was about 8.     Yes, I was a music geek back in the day and I’m not a bit ashamed of it!  I wasn’t terribly good but I still loved making music.
I very much enjoyed making this card and I think it would be a good card for anyone who’s learning to play a keyboard instrument or who loves music  - what do you think?

Here’s how I did it.

That’s it for now, but I’ll be holding a LIVE STREAM roses workshop (by popular demand, folks) on Thursday 15th – so hope I’ll see you then!

Balloon Celebration

Hello bloggists, and welcome!

Balloons are such fun, aren't they?  So what could be better on a celebration card than three of them!  Here's how I made this bright and breezy card -

Before I go, I want to say thank you to everyone who joined me for my live stream earlier this week - I had so much fun!  And if you're thinking about joining Stampin' Up as a demonstrator (I'd love to have you in my team!)  there's never been a better time, as if you join in June 2016 you can choose two extra stamp sets for FREE with your Starter Kit.

Anyway, bye for now - and see you soon.

Easy Fold Gift Box

Hello bloggers, welcome to my blog.

Today I've made this gift box.  It can be stored flat and is very easy to make, but looks very fancy!

There was enough card left from an A4 sheet to make a small greeting card as well - bargain!

After I finished filming I realised that brushing Wink of Stella over the lower part of the balloons would add the finishing touch.  It doesn't show up too well in the picture but in real life it gives a lovely subtle hint of glitter.

(If you want the scoring diagram for this box you can download it here)

BTW - if you were expecting Simply Sketched Saturday, it's been postponed due to illness...it'll be back soon!

Time for Tea

Hi there, welcome to my little bit of the blogiverse.  Thank you so much for visiting.

It's been a while since I made  kinetic card - too long, in fact, so I reckoned it was high time I did!  I saw a card on YouTube (by Karen Burniston) that I liked and wanted to see if I could re-create it using Stampin' Up! products.  Here's my card, which is based on the Circle card thinlits die.

I love a nice cup of tea, myself.  There are those who thrive on coffee (including my husband) but for me it's tea - Earl Grey, hot!  So naturally, I wanted to feature a teapot in proud of place.

Open the card and the cup inside moves over to join its partner -

It's probably easiest to show it in action on the video tutorial -
I've been hoping for something like the "Cups & Kettle" dies for some time now, so you can bet that I was thrilled to bits when I saw the set in the Stampin' Up! Spring/Summer Catalogue.  And you can count on seeing more projects using the dies - so you have been warned.

By the way, have you noticed the new blog/video schedule? I'm now blogging/YouTubing on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and it seems to be going OK so far. Hope I haven't jinxed myself by saying that...

Anyway, with any luck - I'll see you back here on Thursday.

Keren
