Flowerpot Pop Up Card

Hello bloggists, and welcome!
Do you ever see a great project that someone else has designed and think, “I’d love to try that but I don’t have the (whatever) to make it?”  Today’s project came about because of one of those moments.
I was watching the Craft TV channel and saw this GREAT set of dies to make a pop-up flowerpot card.  If you’re a regular subscriber to my channel or my blog, you might know that I love action cards and pop-ups and this just blew me away.
That’s when I started to think about ways I could get the same effect with supplies I had on hand and this is how it turned out.

I used the little house die from the Home Sweet Home set to make the flowerpot – what do you think?  Here’s how it went together –

I haven’t used the Flower Fair dies much so I wanted to use them in my flowerpot and I also thought about punching out some small flowers, which would have been a different look. Botanical Builders or the flowers from the Jars of Love set would also have looked good.

I do hope you like it and you come back soon!

What a week!

Hello everyone, thank you for stopping by!

It's been quite a week here.

David (my husband) and I enjoy ballroom and latin dancing (we started to learn so that we could waltz at our wedding) and we've recently started taking medal tests.  Last Sunday we were all set to take our Paso Doble exam (I LOVE the Paso Doble- such drama!) and two days before THE day David put his back out.  It's just as well there wasn't a drug test because he was dosed up to the eyeballs on painkillers.  It seemed to go OK, nevertheless - but we won't know for sure until we get the results.

On top of that my "day job" has kept me very busy, and David has been running round taking his parents to medical appointments, which hasn't helped his back any.  Thank heaven for crafting!

I used two stamp sets on the card - Flower Patch and Bravo!  I mixed the inks (dollars of red, yellow and orange) by rubbing the pads on my silicone mat and then inked up the stamps from the mat.   It was quick and easy to do, and just what I needed to de-stress myself.

Hope you like it- and hope to see you again soon!
