Pinwheel Gift Bag

Hello, and welcome to my blog!

Today I've made this cute little pinwheel gift bag/pouch. I made this version to fit a coffee bag and I'll be making smaller ones to hold herbal tea bags as customer thank-you gifts.

I used the envelope punch board to score the diagonal folds that you need to make the pouch. I've been working on a way to make one without needing a punch board and if I get it all worked out I'll share it in a future tutorial. For now, though, here's how I made this pouch.

Flip your lid!

Hello, and welcome!

I love an action card so much - such fun to pay with. Today's card is a flip-top gift card holder.

I thought the "star" theme, being a bit Hollywood, was in keeping with the cinema gift card inside. It was totally planned (not!)

It's really easy to make.

Diamond fold box

Hello, and welcome to my blog!

Today I've made this cute little box. Don't you love a bit of paper folding?

I started off with paper that was 9 inches square, but you could make one of these in any size. It just needs to be square- and not too small!

Here's the folding diagram. If you watched the tutorial, you might have noticed that I went a bit overboard when I punched the holes for the ribbon - so I've indicated where they SHOULD be on the diagram!

Pop and Twist Gift Card holder

Hello, and welcome to my blog

Today I’m sharing a card that features a version of the Pop & Twist mechanism. This time it’s a novel way of presenting a gift card.

I love action/pop-up cards of all kinds, and the pop and twist mechanism is so intriguing, especially the first time you come across it. The cards I’ve made in the past have opened up to display panels that run across the card, but this time I’ve used the mechanism to hold a gift card.

You could, of course, write a message underneath where the card goes.
