Trim your stocking!

Hello, and welcome!

Sometimes I have lots of ideas for projects, and sometimes the ol' crafty mojo goes walkabout - does that ever happen to you?  Fortunately there are plenty of resources - magazines, blogs, YouTube and good old Pinterest - to help when Crafter's Block strikes.

The Stampin'Up! catalogue is just chock-a-block with inspiration and that's what I've been CASE-ing (that's Copy And Share Everything) for today's project.

Here's the video -
The stocking on the left is my version of one in the catty.  The one on the right was me using up scraps and leftovers from a previous project.  I really like this colour combination and I may have to rethink my Xmas deccies this year...hmm....

Things don't always go to plan...what to see what happened this time?

Keep crafting,

Keren

Wildflower Fields

Hello everyone, welcome to my blog.

Every now and then, the stars align and I have a burst of creativity and productivity.  It doesn't happen often and I've learned to make the most of it when it does.  Today’s card is the result of an unexpected flurry of activity.

I don’t know if I’d been dreaming, but I woke up on Sunday with lots of ideas  (well, lots of ideas for me, anyway).  When this happens, I usually find that I’m thwarted by circumstances in some fashion – but this time, it just all worked – my husband was occupied elsewhere (I don’t have a craft room, we have and everything room and I have to wait until I have it to myself to record my projects) , the light was OK, the cat was settled down for the day and disinclined to get out of her nice cosy box, and I had everything I wanted for my card already waiting for me..

Here's how it came together.

The stamps and the DSP I used are both from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue so I got them free with a qualifying order - how good is that?  I am really loving the items in this year's Sale-A-Bration - how about you?

See you again soon,

Crafty Hugs,

Keren

My Granny's Apron

Hello blogging peeps! So, Christmas has come and gone for another year and I hope you had a good one.  Ours was quiet, just the two of us and the cat (who had a wonderful time exploring all the boxes).  I mention the cat, because she made filming today's tutorial...interesting.

Today's project is a a criss-cross card.  This kind of card works very well as a way to present a gift card, so that's what I 've made.

The Criss-Cross card reminds me of the aprons my grandmother used to wear.  They were almost a sleeveless dress, covering her clothes completely,  and she wore one every day unless she was going out.  Some of the patterns in the  Pretty Petals DSP stack are very like the cotton fabric the aprons were made from.
Here's the tutorial -

Keep watching to the very end  if you want to see a special appearance by Mysti the cat!

See you soon!

It's in the bag!

Hello everyone.

As promised, today I'm sharing what I'm taking to the SU regional event for swaps.  I spotted this sweet little bag on Pinterest (by Sylvie) and had to make my own version.

I love that it folds flat so I could make a lot of them in advance.  The ones I made for swaps didn't have handles and were made from card rather than paper (I was using up the supplies that are retiring) and I decorated them with the Butterflies die-cuts and stamps from the Butterfly Basics and Banner Banter sets (both of which will still be available in the new catalogue from June 2 - whew!)

Here's the tutorial -

I thought it might be helpful if you could see a diagram of the scoring pattern , so here it is-

I hope you'll try this one and that you enjoy making it.  Please let me know if you do.

See you soon!
