Pootlers Design Team - Lovely Stitching Week 3

Hello bloggists, thanks for visiting.

Wow, week three of my stint as part of the Pootlers Design Team already - how time does fly!

I'm having so much fun playing with this stamp set!  It reminds me of  being a child learning to embroider.  Knitting and embroidery were the first crafts I learned.  When I was a child it was considered perfectly acceptable to teach girls how to do needlework.  I wasn't too keen on knitting - I didn't really begin to enjoy it until I was much older - but I did like embroidery.

Here's the card.

The wonderful thing about photopolymer is that you can see where you're stamping, so building patterns is a breeze.

I hope you like it and if so, you'll think about adding this stamp set to your stash.

Thanks for joining me and I hope you'll come back again soon.

Leaf it out!

Hello Bloggists, and welcome to my blog.

When I get stuck for ideas, the catalogue is always a source of inspiration.

Today's card is my interpretation of one which is on page 131 of the annual catalogue. As you can see from the picture I changed it a bit!

Here's the tutorial-

I hope you enjoyed it!

See you soon,

Crafty hugs,

Keren.

PS - Don't forget my LIVE virtual workshop tomorrow (Wednesday 6 July) - kicking off about 7.30 p.m. BST.  See you there!

Vintage Leaves Card

Hello bloggists,  and welcome to my blog.

Well, the weather here has been unusually fine lately.  I know I shouldn't be surprised - it is summer after all- but the past few years we've had a series of not-very-good summers.  So why does this card have a rather autumnal feel?  I can't tell you.  It just happened.

This card is very different from the vision I had in my head when I started to make it.  I was inspired by a picture in the new catalogue and decided to CASE.

This was the picture, and it was the card at the bottom I was going to recreate -

As you can see, there was a radical change of design direction...I'm not really sure why.  I mean, I started out by accidentally cutting my card blank in portrait orientation...and after that I just made it up as I went along!

Here's the tutorial -

As you can see, nothing like the original.

I hope you enjoyed it anyway.

See you soon,

Crafty Hugs,

Keren

Triple Tealight Gift box

Hello bloggists, welcome to my blog.

It's hard to believe (because Christmas seems like about five minutes ago) but it will soon be the end of the school year and those of us of a crafty disposition start thinking about teacher gifts.

If you have more than one child at school, and therefore more than one gift to purchase, costs can mount up, so most parents are looking for ways to minimise the spending.  This sweet little box holds three Yankee Candle tea lights (Yankee Candle make the best perfumed candles, in my opinion!) and as they come in boxes of 12 you could fill 4 boxes like this form one box.

Very easy to make as well - here's the tutorial!
I hope that you enjoy!

Crafty hugs,

Keren
