Custom sized envelope

Hello bloggists, and welcome.

Remember the popping box that I posted a couple of weeks ago?  I said then that I would make an envelope for it, and so I have.

The project wasn't without incident, though.  You know how, sometimes, when you're crafting, everything is in exactly the right place and it all just works together beautifully?  This wasn't one of those times.

I don't know what I was thinking when I planned this (and I did plan it, honestly!) but it wasn't about how envelopes are made.

Pootlers Design Team - Lovely Stitching Week 3

Wow, week three of my stint as part of the Pootlers Design Team already - how time does fly!

I'm having so much fun playing with this stamp set!  It reminds me of  being a child learning to embroider.  Knitting and embroidery were the first crafts I learned.  When I was a child it was considered perfectly acceptable to teach girls how to do needlework.  I wasn't too keen on knitting - I didn't really begin to enjoy it until I was much older - but I did like embroidery.

The wonderful thing about photopolymer is that you can see where you're stamping, so building patterns is a breeze.

Pootlers Design Team - Lovely Stitching Week 2

Well, my second week as part of the  Pootlers Design Team and Lovely Stitching is growing on me, figuratively speaking. Today I've used some of the stamps to decorate  a little gift box.

I used Soft Sky card and made the roses on top from Peekaboo Peach Ruched Ribbon.   The base of the box is stamped all over and the lid has a border stamp all along the edge.  It was really easy to do because the stamps are photopolymer - which means see-through.  

I CASE'd the box - which is made using the Gift Bag Punch Board - from Claudia Christensen.  There'll be a tutorial on my YouTube channel soon, but meanwhile here are the measurements I used -

Long Skinny Box

Hello bloggists, and welcome to my blog! Thank you for visiting.

Do you ever find yourself with left over pieces of card and paper that are too small to make a full project but are just too big to throw away? I must haveboxes full of scraps that I can't bear to throw away.

So I decided to try and come up with ways of using those pieces. Today's box needs a piece of card that is 10" x 3", So it's ideal for using those long skinny bits of card that you have left over sometimes.
