Thank you for joining us for another Simply Sketched Saturday Challenge! We’re so excited to be sharing this hop with you. The products used are all available in the current Annual, or seasonal, Stampin’ Up!® Catalogues*. This time the challenge has been set by Sam Roberts- The challenge is to use Island Indigo and Fresh Fig in a Christmas-themed project.
I love both of these colours, separately and together, but I'd be the first to admit that they aren't traditionally Christmassy. However, a challenge is a challenge, and after much thought here's what I've made. It turned out better than I'd expected - what do you think? Hello bloggers, me again! Today's card feature a sweet punch art sheep, who is hoping for a snog from a handsome ram- we're calling her Baabara -
My husband had lots of fun coming up with alternative sentiments - like - "Baa Humbug!" and "Fleece on Earth". The card is going to some friends in Australia - and yes, I know they have a lot of sheep in Australia but I don't know if they have urban sheep. I bet their sheep are nice, well-behaved sheep, not the wooly hooligans we have here...
Today’s
card transforms from one parcel to three.You could, if you wanted, tuck a gift card into the middle layer.
It’s
reasonably straightforward to make – however, you do need to pay attention to
the measurements so that the three layers nest properly.Here are the measurements you will need –
Cut three
pieces of card –
11 ½ by 3 ½,
score at ½ inch, and 5 ¾ inch (finished size 5 ¼ by 3 ½)
8 ½ by 3 ¼,
score at ½ inch and 4 ½ inch (finished size 4 by 3 ¼)
6 by 2 ¾,
score at ½ inch and 2 ¾ inch (finished size 2 ¾ by 2 ¾)
On the
reverse of each piece of card, draw a line ½ inch from the bottom edge.One the medium and large pieces, also draw a
line ½ inch from the top.
Mark the
halfway points for front and back of the finished layers, from the left (where
you scored at ½ inch) –
Large - 3 ¼ (for the notch) and 8 ½ (for the slit)
Medium – 2 ½
and 6 ½
Small- mark on the bottom edge at 4 5/8
Like this -
Cut three pieces of DSP -
5 x 3 1/4
3 3/4 x 3
2 1/2 x 2 1/2

The festive season will soon be here and it's hard to believe that I just had my first anniversary as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator. It's been great fun and I am so glad I joined. One of the perks of being a SU! Demo is that you get to see the new catalogue and to order from it before anyone else...and there's some gorgeous things coming up in the Spring/Summer catalogue...you're going to LOVE it! Bit I've teased you enough. There's still time to play with the lovely things in the Autumn/WInter catty, and today I've been busy making this card-in-a-box.

Hello bloggers, welcome to my blog! It's starting to feel that Christmas is getting near now. It's turned much colder hereabouts , after days of rain coming in sideways (Storm Barney was doing his worst!). OK, I'm a big kid, but I always hope for a white Christmas - and we don't get one very often at all. We do see plenty of robins and holly bushes, though. Hello blog friends - glad to see you! I'm a day late with my blogging this week. The run-up to Halloween is always a busy time, and this year was no exception. If you've been dropping in to visit, you might have noticed that I've been busy (in my Other Persona) taking part in a month long blog hop. It was a real challenge and I think I've earned a bit of alien down! Anyway, back to normal with this rocker card. I've used Home for Christmas and Lost Lagoon DSP and pleated the rosette on my Simply Scored board. You might wonder why I haven't photographed the card in the mini studio - this is why -
As soon as she saw it being put up she did her world- famous impersonation of a cheetah and got in there. She's resisted all attempts at removal and is still there as I write. Hope she'll be out by next week!
